Tiredly I packed my pack, fortunately we were only steps away from joining the path for a short day.
Coffee at Widemouth bay somewhat revived me. Great to see the conservation in action. Up on tarmac, a luxury, to cliff top paths. Great views of the zigzag rock strata at Millook Cliffs.
What followed was not the easy day I expected! Consolation, beautiful views across numerous coves with rivers and pastoral countryside and suicidal looking paths that appeared to vanish! Of course, ascents & descents leading to the lovely cove in Crackington Haven; a snooze in the sun, leaning against drift wood on the pebbles listening to the waves. Tea & wonderfully a lift up to the BnB.
Official SW Coast path: 10miles
