Crossing through the Cornish mining world heritage site, where remnants of copper and tin mines pepper the landscape, we passed Boscaswell, Trease, Levant and Cape Cornwall mines, 1900+ seems to have been their heyday!
At cape Cornwall we snacked enjoying the view at the top of the headland leaning against the monument thought to be the most south westerly point, until it was measured!
Leaving the open high cliff tops behind the path clung to the craggy granite strewn cliffs. The sound of crashing waves on the rocks below and sparkling seas welcome distraction whilst clambering over granite outcrops and more steep ascents and descents. I had thought this was an easy day!
There was some level walking, especially as we descended into Sennen cove, with its lovely beaches. We walked the steps repaired by our BnB host and saw the bay, from the salt path, famous for Moth tent carrying in his underpants!
Replenished with tea and cake we took the scenic path to Landsend. We had our official photo taken before heading in land to the hostel.
Later we walked back to Sennen Cove for fish & chips on the beach; stunning location, lovely evening not sure it was worth an extra 2.5miles!
Official SW Coast path: 9miles
Official running total: 253miles

Well done, amazing. Does it get harder or easier? Do you get better cream teas on the South side? Have fun, looking forward to joining you!!😊
